The most common heart tests required by the DVLA and TfL are:
– Exercise Treadmill Test
– Stress Echocardiogram
These tests can be easily and conveniently arranged at our state-of-the-art premises at 58 Harley Street.
Please bring your medical records with you so that the doctor can accurately complete the paperwork.

A stress echocardiogram is a non-invasive test used to assess how well your heart functions under physical stress. It’s commonly required by Transport for London (TFL) and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) for drivers renewing their private hire or commercial licences, especially if there’s a history cardiac arrest.
The test involves two main stages: an ultrasound scan of your heart (echocardiogram) taken after your heart is stressed — through exercise on a treadmill. This helps our doctors evaluate your heart’s performance, detect any restricted blood flow, and ensure it is safe for you to drive professionally.
We ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently, allowing you to focus on your driving career. To find out more or book your appointment, fill in the form below, call us on 020 7580 3145, or email info@58harleystreet.co.uk.
