CT HEART SCAN (CALCIUM SCORE)

The CT Calcium Score Scan is a quick non-invasive test to assess the presence and location of calcified or hardened plaques in the arteries of your heart.

The main goal of the CT Calcium Scan is to determine if Coronary Artery Disease is present and to what extent, even if a patient is asymptomatic. It is a really powerful diagnostic tool that can help you avoid more serious heart complications. The scan is a quick, painless, non-invasive procedure.

This scan is recommended if you have any of these risk factors:

• High blood pressure
• Diabetes
• High cholesterol
• Family history of stroke or heart disease
• Recent transient ischaemic attached (TIA) or stroke
• Coronary Artery Disease

Our CT Calcium Score scan includes a complimentary lung visualisation, which will be included in your report.
